Collecting, although a common hobby, is not always an easy task. This holds true even for 4-year-old golden retriever, Bruce, who takes great pride in his stick collection.
Bruce’s owner, Leo Eisenhower, shared the story behind his furry friend’s stick collection. It all started when their area was covered in snow, and Bruce had a favorite stick. However, after the snowfall, the stick went missing, leading Bruce to search tirelessly, digging up everything in hopes of finding it.
While it’s not uncommon for dogs to collect sticks, Bruce takes it to the next level with over 50 sticks in his possession. Each stick is unique, varying in length, shape, and character. If only Bruce could share the stories behind each one!
“We live near a stream that often overflows, leaving behind new pieces of wood brought by the current,” explains Leo, shedding light on the abundant supply of sticks.
Although Bruce eventually found his favorite stick after the snow melted, the incident taught him a valuable lesson about taking risks. To ensure he always has stuck at hand, he decided to stock up for the future.
To prevent accidents, Bruce’s owner only allows him to collect sticks and not play with them directly, especially after an incident where the dog accidentally pierced his esophagus with a stick. Now, Bruce plays with a rubber stick but brings the wooden ones back to his stash at home.
When Bruce’s owner shared photos of his stick collection online, they quickly went viral, garnering over 100,000 views and thousands of likes. It’s evident from the pictures how immensely proud Bruce is of his cherished collection!
