Irina Shayk made a statement at the Met Gala by donning a bridesmaid dress from the 90s that could be considered a masterpiece.

Irina Shayk, a celebrated 37-year-old supermodel, made a striking appearance in a beautiful long white dress that captured public attention. Her choice of flat-soled shoes was also noteworthy at the Met Gala, one of the fashion world’s most anticipated events held in New York City on May 2.

This year’s Costume Institute ball paid tribute to the iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019. Irina, who has consistently made stunning appearances at the event, showcased yet another breathtaking look.

She posed for photographers in a white floor-length dress adorned with voluminous fabric roses around the neckline, accessorized with a large necklace, and completed with loose hair and burgundy eye makeup.

Irina expressed her gratitude and honor on her blog for wearing a masterpiece by Yohji Yamamoto at the Met Gala, which was a dress from the archival Spring/Summer 1998 collection. Her outfit elicited mixed reactions from fans, some of whom praised her impeccable fashion sense, while others criticized her choice of shoes and makeup.

Nonetheless, many admired her unique and stunning outfit, with some calling her a cutie and likening her to a princess. Irina has often opted for revealing necklines and thigh-high slits in the past, but last year, she made a bold fashion statement by wearing an all-black leather outfit that entirely concealed her body.
