Lewis Jimenez fell in love with pit bull Titus at first sight when he saw him walking near a shelter in Austin, Texas. Despite not having any prior intention of having a pet, Lewis adopted Titus and they became inseparable friends.
Five years later, Lewis was forced to return Titus to the shelter as he was told to get rid of the dog by his landlord.
Although Lewis promised to come back for Titus, the shelter staff were skeptical due to the common occurrence of people making promises and never returning for their pets.
While in the shelter, Titus became visibly unhappy and faded. After much searching, Lewis found a new home and was finally able to reunite with Titus, making for an extremely heartwarming reunion.
