A resident of Brooklyn, USA, named Gianna Llewellyn, moved into a new home with her family about a month ago. After some time, they noticed a fluffy guest in their yard – a red cat.
“A friendly (10-month-old) orange kitten and black kitten were wandering around in the backyard,” Gianna told Love Meow. “They were curious about newcomers and quickly became friends after we gave them some leftover salmon from dinner.”
Gianna decided to feed the guest, and he immediately trusted the woman. The next day, the cat brought her friend, a black cat, and the two of them often began to run into the yard for treats. Soon they moved into the backyard and the owners didn’t mind at all. The cat and the kitty didn’t leave each other’s side and did everything together – there was an amazing connection between them. They continued to live in the family’s backyard until one day Gianna noticed that the black cat had a big belly.
“Soon they started to sleep all night on the windowsill and lounging in the backyard all day,” Gianna shared with Love Meow. “They would even follow us around when we were outside. We noticed that despite them being so skinny, Suki’s stomach was a little bigger than Miso’s. She was constantly lying down.”
Gianna took the furry guests to the vet – they were both healthy, and the doctors confirmed that the kitty was pregnant and was due to give birth in two weeks. Gianna’s family deliberated and decided it was fate. They decided to take the couple in and help them with their babies.
Two weeks later, the kitty went into labor. As soon as the father-to-be noticed this, he obviously got worried and ran over to check on his beloved. Gianna helped the cat with the birth, and the daddy cat was there to support her.
That day the kitty gave birth to seven adorable and healthy kittens. She was responsive in caring for them, and daddy cat periodically came in to sniff them curiously.
As time went on, the couple’s kittens grew up healthy, active, and adorable. They opened their eyes and began to actively explore all around them. Meanwhile, their mom and dad were inseparable!
When the kittens are old enough, Gianna and her family will find loving owners for them, and their parents will stay with them forever. Thanks to kind people who gave this feline family a new life!
