Jack and OJ were brought to a Maryland shelter in the United States. The owners could no longer take care of the brothers and gave them into the good hands of the shelter staff. Afraid of their new surroundings, the frightened redheads huddled together, anxiously looking around.
The staff saw at once how attached the cats were to one another. They did everything together, and they began to explore their new surroundings, slowly showing their character. They turned out to be adorable, affectionate, kind, and grateful.
“OJ and Jack are incredibly sweet. Jack jumped in my lap, snuggling up against me. OJ was on the tower but wanted to be petted. He was leaning into my hand and making biscuits. What an awesome pair,” the volunteer shared with Love Meow.
Jack and OJ are very fond of people – they were welcomed by any visitor to the shelter, and always went out of their way to rub the feet of guests. After the vets fixed their teeth, they were perfectly healthy and ready to find new owners. The brothers were waiting for someone to come into the shelter one day and take them with them.
“It was worth every moment to see them leave,” FAACAC shared with Love Meow. “This bonded pair of orange heartbreakers will be moving to New York with their new owner.”
Well, that day came. A local resident was fascinated by these two beauties and came to see them. It was love at first sight! The woman immediately fell in love with the kitties, and they gave her a ton of attention and purrs.
