When a U.S. resident named Katie Snyder brought her dog Leia to her parents, she thought it was only temporary. Leia had always been an independent pet, but she loved everyone in the family in her own way. Unexpectedly for her owner, Leia’s strongest bond was with her dad.
After her parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, Katie’s father began having problems with complications from cancer. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he was forced to spend several days.
When Katie’s mother returned home from the hospital, she saw a touching picture. Leah stood patiently at the door, head tilted, waiting for “Daddy” to come home.
Fortunately, after a while, Katie’s father came home and Leah couldn’t contain her happiness about it! The two were overjoyed at the touching reunion.
“When it comes to loyalty, she is the true definition of a dog,” Snyder said. “He is her human now.”
Since Katie is often on the road, after talking to her parents, she decided to leave Leah with them. Especially since she and Daddy have such an incredibly warm relationship.
“My mom has gotten used to having another female kiss him on the cheek,” she added.
